The Little Box Of Horrors
Sit inside The Box and experience a terrifying nightmare from your intimate perspective. Like an old fairground ghost train, The Little Box of Horrors will have you clinging to your seat with dread.
Outside The Box, watch as the performers dart, creep and shift into position bringing the sinister tale and disturbing images to life.
“What is the secret of room 616? It's the question raised in Bootworks' Little Box of Horrors, a clever little show that is an intimate, scary experience for an audience of one and simultaneously a spectacle for many. Anyone who has ever observed a show from backstage will know that it is often as entertaining to see how the illusion is constructed as it is to watch the illusion itself. Bootworks allows you to do both: watch it from outside the box, and it is rather comic; watch it from inside the box, and you feel as if you have fallen into Psycho.” Lyn Gardner, The Guardian, 06 July 2009
Shortlisted for a Total Theatre award (2009)!
After a successful 2008, taking The Black Box to in Brighton, Winchester Hatfair, Dublin Fringe Festival and more, Bootworks are excited about bringing their new show to audiences across the UK.
Warning: (14+ only) this show is not suitable for children; it contains scenes which some audience members might find disturbing. Although the wider public performance surrounding the box is suitable for all ages.
